Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award

Twelve Penn State engineers were honored in April at the annual Outstanding Engineering Alumni Awards ceremony at the Nittany Lion Inn on the University Park campus. Established in 1966, the Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award is the highest honor bestowed by the College of Engineering and recognizes graduates who have reached exceptional levels of professional achievement.

Electrical Engineering

Roger Liang of Fremont, California, chairman, BizLink Holding, Inc. He earned a master's degree in electrical engineering in 1988.

Computer Science and Engineering

Bruce Wile of Poughkeepsie, New York, Distinguished Engineer, IBM. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science in 1984.

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science was created in the spring of 2015 to allow greater access to courses offered by both departments for undergraduate and graduate students in exciting collaborative research in fields.

We offer B.S. degrees in electrical engineering, computer science and computer engineering and graduate degrees (master's degrees and Ph.D.'s) in electrical engineering and computer science and engineering. EECS focuses on the convergence of technologies and disciplines to meet today’s industrial demands.
